The Shoei GT-Air 3 is the flagship of modern sport-touring: a DOT-certified full-face that folds premium comms integration, an internal sun shield, and all-day comfort into one wind-tunnel-sculpted package. Its AIM (Advanced Integrated Matrix) shell blends fiberglass and organic fibers for high flexibility at low weight — about 3.91 lb — while a multi-density EPS core places different absorption zones exactly where they are needed. Compared with the GT-Air II, Shoei trimmed wind resistance by 6% and lift by 11%, and tuned the whole helmet for maximum noise reduction on long highway days.
