Arai XD-4 Cover Adventure Motorcycle Helmet

The XD-4 is Arai's previous-generation adventure helmet, the one the XD-5 replaced. It still suits the rider who splits time between pavement and dirt and wants one helmet that does both. This one wears the Cover graphic.

Like the XD-5, it runs three ways: shield and peak together for ADV, shield only for the street, or peak only with goggles off-road. Arai's manual warns the peak is not meant for high-speed use, so pull it off for long highway stretches.

Ventilation leans on the eye port instead of cutting more holes in the forehead: brow vents in the faceshield feed air to your temples, and the top diffuser ports nearly double airflow. The high-flow peak is shaped to reduce drag at highway speeds and push air into the upper intakes.

The Dry-Cool interior comes out completely for washing. The FCS cheek pads have a 5mm peel-away layer and the side-temple pads peel away for up to 10mm more width, so you can micro-fit before changing sizes. Emergency release cheek pads are fitted, the interior shape is Intermediate Oval, and it carries DOT and Snell certification. Want the newest version with bigger vents and comms pockets?
