Details
The Regent-X is Arai's comfort-first full-face. Arai builds it with the same protection as its flagship Corsair-X, then gives it an interior designed around comfort and easy on and off. It suits the commuter and the weekend rider who want a proper Arai without race-helmet extras. This one wears the Patch graphic.
You notice the fit first. The shell flares 5mm around the base, so it slides on easier than you expect from an Arai, and the FCS cheek pads, layered foam on a foam spring, hold your face snugly and help block wind noise. The interior shape is Intermediate Oval, Arai's standard fit.
The VAS shield is easy to learn and the latch holds it shut, with a de-mist position for cold mornings. Ventilation is kept simple: a one-piece rear exhaust, side exhausts and a neck exhaust, and the top exhaust stays open at all times to pull out heat and the moisture that fogs a shield. A chin curtain cuts turbulent air coming up from below.
The shell is PB-cLc, reinforced above the eye port with Arai's Peripheral Belt, over a one-piece multi-density liner. DOT and Snell M2020 certified. If you want Arai's flagship, with its IC Duct-5 and Type 12 diffusers, step up to the Corsair-X.
