Details
The Shoei RF-SR2 is the updated RF-SR, and it keeps the same idea: a no-nonsense Shoei full face for daily commutes, weekend rides and longer highway miles. It is built on the lightweight AIM+ shell of layered fiberglass and organic fibers, it is certified to Snell M2025D and DOT FMVSS No. 218, and Shoei lists it at 3.49 lb.
Airflow is where you feel the update. The lower vent is bigger, with 43% more intake airflow, and a new half-open position lets you fine-tune it instead of choosing only open or closed. The glove-friendly upper intake moves 21% more air across the crown, and the redesigned rear exhaust helps cut turbulence at speed.
The CWR-1 shield blocks 99% of UV and a Pinlock EVO lens is in the box, so fogging is handled from day one, and there is a wide range of replacement CWR-1 shields for different light. Inside, the 3D-shaped liner is fully removable and washable, pad thicknesses are interchangeable, and there is dedicated speaker space and microphone routing for a Bluetooth intercom. E.Q.R.S. cheek pads let trained responders remove the helmet more safely.
Want the CWR-F2 shield, Vortex Generators and the 3D Max-Dry Interior System II? Step up to the RF-1400. For a straightforward Shoei that covers most riding well, the RF-SR2 is the one.
