Biltwell Gringo S Hazard Orange Full Face Motorcycle Helmet

The Gringo S takes the classic Gringo look and adds a proper flip-up face shield, which makes it the easy choice if you ride at highway speed or just want the wind off your face. It keeps the retro shape that suits cruisers, customs and café bikes, but it works as an everyday commuter too.

This one is gloss Hazard Orange.

This is the latest R22.06 version. Biltwell rates it US DOT FMVSS No. 218 compliant and ECE R22.06 certified. It now comes in three shell sizes instead of two, so the fit is closer, especially in Medium and XXL. The shield is CE-certified polycarbonate with anti-fog and anti-scratch treatments, and it now uses the same anti-rattle closure as the Lane Splitter. The hinge has firm detents, so you can crack it open at slow speeds for extra air.

Under the ABS shell sits a dual density EPS liner and a molded urethane chin bar pad. The fleece Lycra comfort liner and cheek pads come out for washing, a BioFoam head form panel helps airflow, and molded ear pockets take select aftermarket speakers. The chin strap uses a D-ring with a red quick-release pull tab. You can swap the anodized hinge washers and screws for other colors to personalize it.

Good to know: this R22.06 Gringo S does not take the old Gringo S shields, because the closure changed. Biltwell sells replacement shields in several tints, including one with a Pinlock ProtecTINT insert. Want more ventilation? Look at the Gringo SV.
