Details
The AGV K3 Birdy 2.0 wears the Birdy 2.0 graphic in gray, yellow and red.
The K3 is AGV's all-round road full-face, and the one we point commuters and touring riders to first. AGV shaped it in CFD for any riding position, commuting, touring or sport, and says it carries zero dynamic weight at 80 mph, which means less pull on your neck on the highway. The shell is high-resistance thermoplastic in three sizes over a multi-density EPS liner, with a collarbone-safe lower edge.
The feature you will use every ride is the integrated sun visor. It runs on a cable, works with winter gloves on, sits at two heights and leaves the front vents clear when it is up. The Ultravision visor gives a 190 degree view, has six positions including a city step for slow traffic, plus micro-opening, and a Pinlock 70 MaxVision insert comes in the box.
Fit is where the K3 earns its keep: six helmet sizes and interchangeable cheek pads in five thicknesses give 30 ways to dial it in. The liner is removable and washable, glasses slide in easily, and the steel micrometric buckle adjusts quickly. It is ready for a generic communication system and approved to DOT and ECE 22.06.
Over the K1 S you get the sun visor, the Pinlock insert and the micrometric buckle. For a lighter composite shell and a bigger Pinlock 120XLT, look at the K7.
